I actually got a hateful response to a joke I made regarding some things that for the privacy or both me and the other party will leave ambigious. This other person attacked me when I made a joke about the "Rules of the Internet" on a piece I found humourous. I made it as a joke in response to someone else's post. Someone decided to to take it upon themselves to look through my favorites then attack me, calling me a discusting perosn, being desturbed by what they saw. I did not respond with hostility and mealy told them that I am sorry they feel that way and pointed out the name of the site. Lets do that now, before someone attacks me or others over the nature of our favorites or art. The name of this site is DEVIANT Art. Lets examine that, first. Deviant: departing from usual or accepted standards, especially in social or sexual behavior. This is an art site for the deviants of society, those who don't want to be critisised for having made something out there in terms of art and or statements. This also leaks into the sexual realms of imagry and deviantart offers a filter for this if you don't wish to view it. However, some people don't mind and don't have such filters, as this site was made for people who make that kind of art. I'm not saying deviantart is a porn site, but there are adult images on the site in various degrees of cencorship. If you have a problem with what I favorite, that is your problem not mine. And I for one, do not appreciate you coming into a site made for people to feel free to express themselves in any way, shape or form, which the internet's greatest freedom is and for you to critisi or attack me in my safe place. If you feel I made a tasteless joke, or truely did offend someone, I am sorry. I try to keep that to the lowest it can be, but this is a place for people to joke around. So don't hate or attack people, because their views are different from yours.
